REC Emergency and Paediatric First Aid

A certified course designed for managing First Aid in an outdoor environment

Course Content:

This course is designed for people who work outdoors with young people and adults. You will receive a First Aid certificate valid for three years on successful completion of the course, from a recognised health and safety organisation. The two days will involve both classroom-based and practical learning, with scenarios of real situations included.

What are the Learning Outcomes?

  • Emergency – vital signs, emergency action, airway, unconsciousness, choking, bleeding
  • Illness – chest pain, stroke, asthma, epilepsy, diabetes
  • Injury – head, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, bones, soft tissue, eye
  • Environment – heat stress, cold stress, hot injuries, cold injuries
